At Sunnyhaven, we make sure that our participants know the importance of proper grooming and personal hygiene. We always remind them that having healthy personal habits is an essential form of self-care.
Through fun activities we teach them proper handwashing, oral hygiene and many more. Our staff also set regular haircut appointments to make sure our residents are well-groomed.
Since we’re not allowed to go out to give our participants a makeover, we invited a hairstylist to visit the Terry St crew one weekend. The boys were really excited that they even showed the stylist what kind of haircut they wanted to achieve. After the makeover session, the hairstylist also taught them how to take care and properly style their hair.
