Sunnyhaven’s CAS Day Program

The CAS Day Program, organised by Sunnyhaven, was received well and brought great joy to the clients of the home. On that day, the CAS Day Program clients enjoyed a few hours of golf lessons at a turf club. The event was specifically organised by Andrew Sadleir, Special Olympics Assistant Sports Development Manager and coached by Stewart Hardiman, Head Professional Coach from Bluefit Golf. Each individual client received one to one coaching from Stewart himself and they enjoyed themselves immensely. This is because he taught them how to hold the golf club properly as well as teaching them about the various types of golf clubs. Not only that, they learned about how to navigate the golf ball through miniature obstacle courses into the teeing hole. Sunnyhaven’s client feedback was positive, many noting that this event was very enjoyable and staff reported that the lesson catered to their different abilities in a very relaxed atmosphere with the added highlight of being transported in the golf carts around each hole.
