As a Team Leader you will be responsible for leading a team of support workers and effectively planning and prioritising workload to ensure participants are supported to develop personal care and meet their goals and needs. You will be working with the people we support as well as their families to deliver high quality outcomes. You will be making service bookings and claims through NDIS and ensuring we are complying to standards. The role will also include rostering and working within a budget.

Applicants are required to demonstrate their skills, knowledge & experience based on the following essential selection criteria listed below:

  • Demonstrated experience working with people with disabilities or in a related field, with a genuine understanding of their complex needs. Demonstrated skills in service delivery of person-centred planning and active support.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team of support workers including effectively planning and prioritising workload with one year experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience in managing rosters and working within a budget.
  • Demonstrated communication, organisational, time management and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to people we support and their families in delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Ability to actively support clients to develop personal care, health care and hygiene eg: eating, dressing, toileting and bathing.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with a good knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite and including administration skills.
  • Working knowledge of the NSW Disability Services Act and Disability Standards, Work Health & Safety Act and Regulations and Anti-Discrimination Act.
  • Proven capability to work independently and/or work as part of a team in pursuit of team goals, sharing information, contribute to resolutions in a respectful manner.
  • Qualifications & Education: Current class C NSW driver’s licence, Current Working with Children Check and Police Check, Current First Aid Certificate and Certificate III or equivalent. (Desirable)

NOTE: Team Leader Accommodation – willingness to work shift-work on a 7 day roster including weekends, sleepover shifts and public holidays as required.
