Human Resources Assistant
Accommodation/ Day Programs 

SYDNEY
PART-TIME POSITION – 3 DAYS A WEEK

We are looking for an HR assistant to handle a variety of human resource related duties. Your role is to support the HR manager and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of all queries. You will also support our daily HR activities and assist in coordinating HR policies, processes, and relevant documents. An ideal candidate for the human resources assistant position holds an academic HR background and familiarity with our industry is an advantage.

Applicants are required to demonstrate their skills, knowledge & experience based on the following essential selection criteria listed below:

  • Proven experience with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties which includes all facades of the recruitment process.
  • Working knowledge of Employee Relations and Training and Development needs.
  • Provide administrative support to Human Resources Manager and you should be able to work autonomously and assist in more complex HR issues.
  • Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to HR activities (e.g. staffing matters, training, position descriptions, performance evaluations etc)
  • Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc) and take minutes
  • Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
  • Conduct initial orientation with newly hired employees e.g. Cooperate Induction
  • Understanding the Human Resource software and ability to maintain the database
  • Demonstrated communication, organisational, time management and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to the staff at all levels.
  • Qualifications & Education: Current class C NSW driver’s licence, Current Working with Children Check and Police Check and a tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or related fields.

NOTE: Human Resource Assistant – part-time position, days to be negotiated.  Salary range is between $32 -$36 per hour plus superannuation.
