Applicants are required to demonstrate their skills, knowledge & experience based on the following essential selection criteria listed below:

  • Knowledge of the complex needs of people with disabilities and strategies to enhance their abilities with a genuine commitment to a service delivery environment.
  • Ability to support residents to develop personal care, health care and hygiene eg: eating, dressing, toileting and bathing.
  • Computer literacy with a good knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite and sound administration skills.
  • Demonstrated communication, organisational, time management and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to people we support and their families in delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Knowledge of the NSW Disability Services Act and Disability Standards, Work Health & Safety Act and Regulations and Anti-Discrimination Act.
  • Proven capability to work independently and/or work as part of a team in pursuit of team goals, sharing information, contribute to resolutions in a respectful manner.
  • Qualifications & Education: Current class C NSW driver’s licence, Current Working with Children Check and Police Check, Current First Aid Certificate and Certificate III or equivalent.

NOTE: Disability Support Workers – Accommodation – willingness to work shift-work on a 7 day roster including weekends, sleepover shifts and public holidays as required.
